Postby Andre on Sun Jan 17, 2010 3:24 pm

"1K-PUTT", the first game of 2010 for the ZX81 and TIMEX1000/1500 from ANDRE*** is out NOW!!!

The game runs on a ZX81 or a TIMEX 1000/1500 and requires only 1k memory. You must determine the EXACT power to apply to the ball to reach the cup. Watch for the rolling ball effect.

COMMING UP SOON:

"MICRO-SINCLAIR" number 6, a French magazine loaded with articles about the ZX81 basic language, the hardware and the software of the ZX81, games print-out, modifications on the ZX81. Will be available at the beginning of 2010.

"REVERSE" from ANDRE***, the 16K version and the 1K version will be out at the end of January.

ZX-MICROFAIR will be held MARCH 12-14 in Germany. "http://www.zx-team.de" for details.

"AB-BOWL" from ANDRE*** will be released at the ZX-MICROFAIR. Play a great game of bowling on your ZX81.

March 2011 will be the 30th year of the ZX81 and also the 15th year of ZX-TEAM of Germany. Let's prepare to celebrate! What will you do?

The ZX81 pleasure is spreading....

I understand that's some device for ZX81 You want to make for celebrating the 30th year of the ZX81.
What will it do?

Andre: I still think about the game-idea and let You know soon. ;) Greetz!

High speed SD/MMC interface - of course :¬D

It will feature single-button bootstrapping of loader - no tape or ROM code needed. Type LOAD"" (just so machine goes into a fast-mode loop) and hit the button. The device will take control of the bus and put the menu/game/boot-loader directly into memory.

This will work with Internal memory only at the moment though I'm planning a version which has a 32k (8-40k) expansion built-in.

That's most interesting. Sounds like a divIDE for ZX81 actually.
To avoid the divIDE's constructors main mistake, I would suggest also it should save files with SAVE "name".
What files will it use? *.P I hope? Or maybe also TZX?

To do anything like patching the ROM would take too much effort. So SAVEing, if supported at all, would be of the PRINT USR variety. Sorry.

It will use P files though.
