Is it possible to convert a BASIC-program in a z81-file (snapshot) generated by the EightyOne-emulator into a text-file (e.g. ASCII or UTF8) and back again.

There is not much documentation on EightyOne and its file-formats in the binary distribution.

How do I convert a z81-file from EightyOne-emulator into a p-file? Can EightyOne somehow export to p-files? I know EightyOne can open p-files.

EO can't easily convert a P file in a text file...
It's an emulator!!!

EightyOne can't save to p-files, but it can save to tzx- or z81-files. Since there is a utility for Amiga OS (!) to convert p-files to txt-files it would be useful to be able to convert the tzx- or z81-files into p-files. Is it possible to do this? Otherwise I have to use an emulator that can save to p-files.

eightyone can save p-files as well:

create a new tape in the tape manager / then (in the emulator) SAVE "NAME" / press the disk-button in the tape-manager / change TZX-File (datatype) to P File ... you can also save as O an T81

Hi,

EO can !!! It's true.
But, only if there's one program in the "tape controler" window.
In other case, it save the list as TAP or TZX format.
